This event takes place IN-PERSON in our PETERBOROUGH location :)
The art of mending can be beautiful as well as practical. In this workshop we’ll cover the basics of sewing two types of patches to mend a hole in a pair of jeans, as well as tips for mending lots of other pieces in your wardrobe.
Within our small group setting, we’ll guide you through the steps, have time for sewing and note taking, and plenty of opportunity for questions and answers to build community and give you the skills and confidence to mend anything!
When: Monday April 3rd, 7:00-8:30 pm
Where: Peterborough Location, 418 George St. N.
What to Bring:
-Bring a project to work on, whether it's a ripped pair of jeans or a few scrap pieces to practise on. Bring a basic darning needle or sewing needle and a thread of your choice.
-We'll provide embroidery floss, beeswax (for strengthening our mends), a few spare needles, sewing pins, some assorted scraps for mending with, and know-how for some simple, beautiful, visible mends!
